Christine Loewen is a member of Kwantlen First Nation located in Fort Langley, BC. She has lived in the Lower Mainland her whole life; and she currently resides and works within the Kwantlen and Katzie traditional territory. She has a certificate from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) as a Housing Manager, and last year she received her designation as a Housing Professional (FNHP) from First Nation Housing Professional Association.
Christine previously worked with Kwantlen First Nation for a combined 12 years in several capacities such as Operations with Fieldworkers and Security, Resources with land referrals; and the latest being the Housing Manager for the last 6 years for Kwantlen. Former work experience and projects include BC Hydro Ruskin Powerhouse with security coverages and staffing.
Other work experiences include a Document Controller on the Project named the Cosmopolitan Casino located in Las Vegas, NV. She has also worked in a manufacturing company within the Tri-City area for 15 years doing assembly line work, reception, and payroll with a small polyurethane manufacturing company.
Christine is thrilled to be part of the FNHIC team working to improve housing and infrastructure for First Nations Communities in BC. Christine enjoys spending time with friends and family, enjoys activities like gardening and photography in her spare time.
