Jackson Crick

Jackson Crick is Tŝilhqot’in, a member of the Xeni Gwet’in First Nation in BC's interior. He currently resides within the traditional territory of the Lhtako Dene in Quesnel, BC. His professional journey encompasses a broad range of experiences and expertise. His educational background in project management was cultivated through roles such as teaching film production and serving as a field operations manager for Statistics Canada's on-reserve census. With a tenure spanning over 15 years at Capilano University, he had various roles including coordinator for a filmmaking program, and manager for an Indigenous digital accelerator. Returning home in 2015, he assumed the role of housing manager for a Tŝilhqot’in community, transitioning to his current position as Housing Project Manager for the Tŝilhqot’in National Government (TNG). In his current capacity, Jackson serves as the TNG's project lead for the BC Housing pilot project. This initiative aims to conduct comprehensive housing assessments to facilitate strategic planning and support housing sustainability across the six Tŝilhqot’in Nation communities. In his free time, he enjoys various activities such as walking his dog, hiking, photography, reading, writing, and exploring emerging technologies with a focus on integrating these advancements into practical applications for everyday living.
